This is the upgrade for the ulterra Gen 1 to the new and improved spot lock, so if you have the gen1 ulterra and want to upgrade without buying the new trolling motor, it is kit part number 2884167. Comes with everything you need. $799.99 plus tax and shipping for the Link version.

My suggestion is to change the subject line in this thread or request it to be deleted all-together as it is miss leading. It is not an 'Upgrade'. It is in fact a modification 'that works'. It is not something owners of the original Ulterra Motor can simply walk in and purchase and I am not certain it is an item you can even call into Minn Kota and order direct.
